Thanks to all the brides who rated us well on the knot survey for the Central Coast of California! We feel very honored that people appreciate what we do =)

Anyways, the Knot surveys it's brides every year to figure out who they rate the highest in their local area and we were one of photographers picked for the central coast of california. We put a lot of time and love into our pictures and making the brides day go perfect.

Children & Life & Adoption

So ken and I want to start the process and adopt a child. But i do have to admit, photographing children is not easy and raising them is even harder. But i think that through the process of love and difficult times and endurance, the results are fantastic. I think there are too many lonely kids waiting for that special person to come and get them. I want to go get mine! Here is a few images from our last few session of children and making me think about how life would be with a family of 5 or even 6.

ok, I love my web hosting company...

Kind of a random topic here, but I really love my web hosting company Digital West

. I kind of blew up the database on our site a few back and I was looking for some help fixing it for a couple of weeks.  I couldn't find anyone to do it so I finally called Digital West and they fixed it for me.  Very good service.  Not the cheapest web host out there but way better of the customer service side than some of the big national services. 

So if you are looking to host a website, give them a call, they really have been very good to us!

When I was finishing my last year at Cal Poly I had a portfolio on this online magazine (print magazine is awesome too!).

I loved looking at galleries of other designers and often found this to be a source of great inspiration. ComArts has a wide variety of graphic designers, videographers & photographers so whatever you're in to you will def find it here. You always need inspiration - My old boss, Robert DeSoto (I love you !) was an art director from CBS and he said you're only as good as your scrap.

Bread Bakers Apprentice | Peter Reinhart

This book has transformed my life. I have always wanted to make bread since I was a teen. What is the deal with a few ingredients that makes it so hard to make a fresh loaf of bread that moves us?

Well, about a year ago I was looking up something on the James Beard Award website when one thing led to another and I ended up with this book. Best 50 bucks I ever spent in my life. I actually read it, didn’t just skim the book and go straight to the recipes like I normally do  =).

With a little trial and error I can cook a kick ass loaf in a day or make pizza crust that’ll make you feel like you’re in Italy.  It’s made me much more confident that I can do anything! My cooking has improved so much, my family is now getting fat from all the bread.  I’m working on Gluten free breads next so that help the last part a bit :)

However This book is DA BOMB!  You must buy it now.
